Potpourri Favors
Another way to present potpourri is wrapped in tulle. This isn't difficult
to do but does take a little longer than our first suggestion.
How To Make Lavender in Tulle Favors
you will need
2 tulle circles
1 four inch circle of netting
16 inches of very narrow ribbon
Lavender potpourri
Sewing tread or knitting yarn
1 sprig of tiny silk flowers or ribbon roses
1 teaspoonful of patience
1. Put a small amount of lavender in the center of the circle of
netting
2. Lift up the edges of the netting and then just above the lavender
carefully wrap around a length of sewing thread or knitting yarn.
Tie firmly closed - you should now have a small bundle of lavender
that looks a little like a small Spanish onion
3. Twist the stem of the tiny ribbon or silk flowers around the
thread or yarn closure - but allow the flowers to peep above the
top of the bundle.
4. Place the 2 tulle circles on top of each other. Then in the
center of these place the little lavender bundle.
5. Gather up the sides of the tulle, then tie the ribbon just above
the lavender (in about the same area as the thread or yarn). Now
wrap the ribbon around again before tying a bow.
6. Arrange the tulle and flowers so that they look just right,
and then attach a thank you tag.
